The Independent Ethics Committee (I.E.C) consist of 8- members, meeting the requirements of ICH – GCP and ICMR Guidelines.

They are leading experts from various fields:
1) Technical Experts
2) Dermatologists
3) Lawyers
4) Social Worker

The IEC follows guidelines set by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in its operation.
All Clinical Trials at C.L.A.I.M.S. are routed through the Independent Ethics Committee.
None of the IEC members has any business interest in C.L.A.I.M.S. Pvt Ltd.

The responsibilities of IEC can be defined as follows:

• To protect the dignity, rights and well-being of potential research participants.

• To ensure that universal ethical values and international scientific standards are expressed in terms of local community values and customs.

• To assist in the development and the education of a research community responsive to local health care requirements.

The frequency of IEC meeting varies depending on the study inflow.
